Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef 455g
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • ½ cup onion 75g, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 28 oz crushed tomato 795g, 1 can
  • ¼ cup fresh basil 10g, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 230g
  • 1 ¼ lb cheese tortellini 565g, cooked and drained

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  • Grease the pan with olive oil and cook the beef get browned. Add salt and pepper. Mix in the dried herbs.
  • Add in onions and then add garlic.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and stir them together. Cook for 6-9 minutes.
  • Spoon the layer (tortellini, cheese, basil, sauce, tortellini, cheese, basil, sauce, and cheese) in the bottom.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbling. Cool it for about 10 to 15 minutes before serving
